In the last creativity workshop of our spring 2019 run, participants got the opportunity to create their own zines.
Kendra Yee, a former OCADU student who also runs art workshops for young people, talked about the different booklets people make (and she brought many examples in) and encouraged participants to have fun while creating.
Unlike our other workshops this semester, this one came with no particular rules — participants were able to create their own zine any way they wanted to. Kendra showed those who attended how to fold and talked about the history of zines, but for the most part, it was all about letting creativity flow — a great way to end the present series.
